Firm Focus and History:
I have been a civil trial lawyer representing injured people since I became a lawyer in 1992. I opened my own firm in 1995 and since then have focused exclusively on helping injured people.
Previous Employment Summary:
Prior to becoming a lawyer, I had a career as a foreign policy analyst in the United States Congress. I have a Master's Degree in International Politics from New York University and worked in the U.S. Congress for the Arms Control and the Foreign Policy Caucus. I also worked for the Democratic National Committee and for the Paul Simon for president campaign. During law school I worked for two extremely accomplished plaintiffs' personal injury firms: Schroeder, Goldmark & Bender and MacDonald, Hoague & Bayless, both in Seattle, Washington. After graduation I worked for plaintiff's personal injury firm Casey & Gordon before opening my own firm.'
Activities and Awards:
I have served as a volunteer lawyer at the South East Legal Clinic since being admitted as a lawyer in 1992 where I have assisted hundreds of low income people with their legal problems on a pro bono basis.
